2. Welcome Message

What it is: The Welcome Message is the text shown to new visitors the first time they land on your website or interact with your Zara features.

How to set it: Simply type in a short, welcoming sentence or paragraph in the provided field. This could be a warm greeting or a brief introduction to your site.

Welcome to our site! We’re excited to have you here.

3. Configuring the Embedding Engine

Zara supports external AI services to generate embeddings (vector representations of text). You will need to provide specific API keys for the service you choose.

  1. OpenAI (Embedding)
    • Visit platform.openai.com and log in to your account (or sign up if you don’t have one).
    • Navigate to API keys and copy your personal API key.
    • Paste the key into the Embedding Engine field in the Zara Settings.
  2. (Optional) Other Embedding Services
    • If you are using a different embedding service, follow the provider’s documentation to obtain your API key and enter it accordingly.

4. Configuring the Completion Engine

In addition to embeddings, Zara can leverage AI for text completion or generating written content.

  1. OpenAI (Completion)
    • Again, visit platform.openai.com, go to API keys and copy the key you wish to use for completions.
    • Paste this into the Completion Engine field in the Zara Settings.
  2. (Optional) Other Completion Services
    • If you are using another AI provider for text completion, retrieve the necessary API key from their platform and enter it here.

5. Configuring the Vector Storage Engine

Vector storage is where Zara saves your text embeddings, making them retrievable for various AI-driven features like semantic search.

  1. Pinecone
    • Go to pinecone.io and create an account (or log in if you already have one).
    • Create a new index to store your vectors.
    • From your Pinecone dashboard, locate your API Key and Host details.
    • Copy and paste these credentials into the Vector Storage Engine fields in Zara Settings.
  2. (Optional) Other Vector Databases
    • If you’re using a different vector database, follow their setup process to find your corresponding credentials and enter them accordingly in Zara.
